What movie is this house in.. it may be in more than one but what movie would I have watched and loved that this house is in? Once a correct answer is given or if you all give up, I will finish my post so those who don't know the answer can find out about it. It Always works out...

My neighbor and good friend recently moved away (sniffle, sniffle) before she moved she gave me some (as she put it) strange food items.. well here is a story that she will appreciate. Last night we had the missionaries over for dinner and I was in need of a dessert.. I thought about cookies but didnt have enough chocolate chips.. so as I was digging for a veggie in my pantry I found blueberry pie filling..well some of the strange food items, my friend had given me were pie crusts and cool whip.. so I was able to make a blueberry pie for dessert.. which was delicious.. no work at all thanks to Morgan.. So the moral of the story is what may be strange and unusable for us is always usable for someone else, so instead of throwing it away, try giving it away!!!

Snow much fun...

YAY...SNOW!

Last week the boys were very excited because it snowed in TENNESSEE.. it wasn't very much snow but it did lay on the ground and it was perfect packing snow. Austin was so excited for the snow.. he loved looking out the window watching it. Here are some pictures of them playing in the snow...

A Sunbeam

On Sunday January 4, 2009 we hit a milestone that was very exciting for my 3 1/2 yr old. Austin Joseph Ray graduated from nursery and is now a sunbeam in primary. He graduated with his buddy Connor which made it even more exciting. It was so cute because they had a little graduation ceremony for them at the beginning of primary (well in the nursery so even Mason got to be in attendance), they said their farewells to their teachers and classmates, in Austin's case his brother, got introduced to their teacher and were off. He was shy and unsure about what was happening but he was prepared. We had been talking for a while about what would be happening after Christmas time at church so he knew that he was going to the big boy class. During closing exercises they sang the Hello song to them and it made me tear up to think that my first, my baby, was old enough to be in primary. He came home very excited about his big day. His teacher was Heidi Gerloff, who made it very fun because according to him "we sang songs and played with playdough". Austin proceeded to sing the songs "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam" and "Once there was a snowman". We are just so proud of our little sunbeam. (And to all you mothers who may think I was a little over emotional think back to the days when you sent your first off on their first exciting adventures, or if you haven't yet then you just wait, your time will come!)

You can see in the picture that he is sticking out his chin.. this face that he makes is his I am a little nervous, unsure, or shy face. We love it!! You can also see him holding his little diploma that he got.. and the parents were given the official certificate.

Sneaky little ones!

This post is for you Kim.. today my friend Kim and I were talking about how sneaky our little guys already are.. and then this happened.. I put the boys down for nap and when I came to check on them Mason got out of bed, so he was disciplined. I told him not to get out again or his vrooms would be confiscated. So the next time I checked on him.. he was standing on his bed at the very edge reaching to his brother from his bed who also was still in his bed. I guess they weren't out of bed.. were they. It amazes me how young they are when they realize how to look for the loopholes. I will have to be more specific next time!

N"ice" Day Out!

While the boys got together and watched football.. my friend Kim and I went iceskating downtown at Market Square. It was so nice to be away from everything. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we even forgot to worry about the boys (mostly the little ones). It was a much needed stress relief! It felt so good to iceskate too. I LOVE SKATING.. and that is one thing I miss about my childhood, so even if people thought we were silly we had fun. (although we both look young enough I don't even think people knew any better)Even though I didn't keep many of my family's holiday traditions this year.. I did keep one.. Girl's day out on New Year's well the boys stay in to watch football. Oh yes and we ran into Alison and Travis Barnett and it was nice to visit with them too!

New Year's Eve...

New Year's Eve we went to our friends house for dinner, we visted and played games.. well Apples to Apples. It was fun and as much as I love Apples to Apples I have to say that we were dealt some pretty bad hands of cards.. it was sad.. the game could have been a lot more fun, however, the company was GREAT. We had a lot of fun! But we all had little kids so the party came to an end before midnight. We went home and we finished the night out in our little apartment drinking chocolate milk,eating icecream and watching the ball drop in NYC. We all napped during the day but we still thought the boys,especially Mason, would crash. And even though his little body wanted to crash, Mason's joyful spirit hung in there, so both Ray boys rung in the new year with their Mom and Dad. We had a fun, cozy night! Mason is one tough burger.. he actually hung on by himself for quite a while! I wish I would have timed him! He be the kid who wins the blue patch in gym class.. remember those (I hated it because I always only ever got red and not blue.. I was so jealous of the blue patch winners..but it was only ever this event that always stopped me)

Three of the buddies, hanging out watching Kung Fu Panda while their parents partied! It was funny because they kept yelling at us to be quiet because they couldn't hear the movie... what a switch!

Barry and Logan's Visit from Hawaii

We didn't take pictures of everything because we had too much fun.. and they got sick so there was an extended time where we did not see them so we wouldn't catch the disease that seems to be spreading around. We were able to chill with them at Mammaw's and Pappaw's, Logan and I went iceskating (it was his first time.. he loved it!), we went to dinner(where we tried duck, and calamari, and I had a scumtious salmon with orange sauce), went to see The sound of Music at the Old Tennessee Theatre (which is featured in the movie "October Sky", and had lots more fun.

Mammaw's and Pappaw's Christmas Day

There aren't many pictures because one of our Christmas gifts was a new camera so it was charging while we opened the rest of our gifts. But we had lots of fun just hanging out with Mammaw and Pappaw all day.
