There is a first for everything...

Austin has always been sick with an upper respitory infection of some sort whenever we have had a big snow... so the only time the boy has ever really played in it was for 2 mins. as a 5 month old. Because there has been an abundance of snow and Austin is healthy he got to play in it alot. Terra kept Austin on Thursday February 28, 2008 from school to spend time with him before we move. So she took him outside to play in the snow. Well the girls wanted to make snow angels so Austin did too, but didn't know how. Terra told him to lie down and wiggle his arms. So there is a picture of him lying down with his hands straight in the air wiggling them (I will get Terra to email it to me so I can post it). So that was his first snow angel experience.
Yesterday, Saturday March 1, 2008, for the first time Austin got to go sledding down a "big" hill. He was so excited all day he kept asking when we were going to go sliding. Well the first time down the hill was kind of a dud but he still said "Lets do it again mom" so we did over and over and everytime he wanted to do it again. He laughed and squealed, he had the time of his life. The only sad part was that his dad couldn't be there since he has already left for Tennessee but when we called dad to tell him of the fun Austin asked him to please come sliding with him, so hopefully dad will be able to go sliding with us soon.
