The "end" ofSummer

Luckily we don't have to start school yet so for us the end of summer will not come until the warm weather is gone. We are going to keep on summering it up until it is too cold to play in the water and wear shorts, tshirts and flip flops. So if you don't want your summer to be over just join us in the fun like our friends Willem and Kimberly have.

Hawaiian Hunks!

When Mammaw and Pappaw went to Hawaii they brought us back these cute matching outfits from Aunt Dawn, Uncle Barry, and Logan.. don't they look so cute.

Mima's Visit

This weekend my grandma and mom came down to visit. My mom was nice and changed her vacation to visit us so that she could be here for my cousin's wedding making it possible for my grandma to come too. We had so much fun with Mima. Friday we spent the day in Gatlinburg with Mima,Grandma, Gary and Maria (my dad's cousins who were also vacationing down here). We had so much fun.. Austin held a parrot on his arm which is AMAZING considering he is afraid of anything that moves when it gets too close to him. We ate breakfast at Flapjacks, which was good, but honestly I wasn't blown away. And we did some hardcore walking and shopping. My grandma had a hair appointment so after we dropped her off, we rode the tram up to Obergatlinburg.. this was a new experience for me that was totally scary and fun. While in Obergatlinburg we went to the black bear habitat and saw 6 bears as well as some native animals, like a skunk up close and personal but thankfully it was behind glass. We left obergatlinburg, picked up Grandma and went for a scenic drive through the Smoky Mountains. It was so beautiful.. it made my mom wish she were camping! So hopefully she will come back next year and go camping. Saturday we got up went shopping for a new outfit then went to the wedding. Sunday we went to church and then went to my Aunt's for another visit. On the way home we drove through downtown Knoxville so my mom got to see downtown and UT campus. Monday morning Mima and grandma left to my son's utter disappointment. He cried all day.. he was so depressed all he wanted to do was sit and watch televison. It was so sad.. he broke my heart. (Sorry there are no pictures.. we had a mishap with the camera so we are waiting for Maria to send us copies via email.. as soon as she does we will post them)

Arthur and Amanda's wedding

We had a fun time at Cousin Arthur's wedding. We got to know his bride Amanda better, we met our new cousin Peyton (whose adorable),and we got to visit with our cousins. My aunt made their wedding cake which turned out beautifully.

"A" is for Austin

This picture represents one of my baby's firsts. Last week Austin learned to write the letter "A". We are so proud of him... he writes the letter "A" all over everything he can now. Way to go Austin!

Reunion of little boy and best friend

We accidentally left Pinkie... Mason's best friend in Ohio when we were there in June.. Alex sent it to him but had forgotten part of the address so it got lost in the mail. We prayed and prayed the mailman would find Pinkie and he would make it to us or Memaw. Sure enough Heavenly Father answered our prayers and while Memaw was on vacation she got a call saying it was at the UPS store. Against our wishes Uncle Alex resent him to us. Thanks to Uncle Alex's persistence he arrived safely here Tuesday by the UPS man. This is a video clip of a reuniting between a little boy and his best friend (Mason and Pinkie).
